Telehealth supervision uses secure video or phone technology in place of, or in addition to, in-person meetings. Please review the following before consenting.

Nature of Telehealth Supervision

Sessions occur via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform at scheduled times, functioning similarly to in-person supervision, with the same expectations for preparation, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Benefits

• Increased scheduling flexibility and reduced travel
• Continuity of supervision despite location or weather disruptions
• Comparable clinical value to in-person supervision for most purposes

Risks and Limitations

• Technology failures (connectivity loss, audio/video interruption)
• Reduced ability to observe nonverbal cues compared to in person
• Potential, though unlikely, breach of privacy due to technology

Associate Responsibilities

The Associate agrees to participate from a private, confidential location free from interruption, and to notify the Supervisor promptly of any technical or connectivity issues.
